Current Event: Hemophilia

Hemophilia is a disease that prevents blood from clotting properly so a person who has it bleeds more than someone without hemophilia does.  Doctors diagnose hemophilia by doing blood tests, but sadly the disease cannot be cured except if you get a liver transplant but it is not recommended. Hemophilia is passed down from mother to son; it’s an X-linked genetic disorder. The Numerous Foundation wrote this article and I think they wrote it to inform the reader the causes, symptoms and any other information they included about hemophilia. This article was really interesting it included a lot of facts and three of them I learned was the symptoms for example if you have nose bleeds that won’t stop or blood in the urine then probably you have hemophilia. Also those guys are most likely to obtain hemophilia if their mother carries the gene of hemophilia on one of her Xs. Lastly if you have hemophilia you might have to get used to working with hematologists, nurses, physical therapists, and many other medical assistants because they are going to help you get used to it and learn everything about it. I really don’t have any questions to the author who wrote this article because this article basically answers all my questions but I was wondering why she wrote this article?  What inspired her or him to write it? How did she feel while writing this article? Yes I would definitely recommend this article to my friends and family members just in case they are feeling the symptoms or have the disorder they can obtain information they need in this article. Well I can’t make better choices just by reading this article because you don’t  get hemophilia but eating healthy or doing exercises ,no its passed down by your parents but something I can do is inform other people about what I read so they  can use the information for their own befits. Also now I have more knowledge about hemophilia in case I need it in the future for any reason.
